Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser:
“Pitying each other, the three women agreed that, should the chance befall them, they would unite and try to reach the Fountain together.
The sky was rent with the first ray of sun, and a chink in the wall opened.”
The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling –
P.S.- I thought it would be a great idea to re-read it before the next Harry Potter movie comes out on July 15th! Anyone else looking forward to it? Or fans of only the books?
I really need to get my hands on this book! Great teaser!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I'm dying for Part 2. I think I might read Deathly Hallows again before the last movie is released :)
I'm definitely looking forward to it!

This is one of those books that has been sitting on my TBR stack unread since it was published. I think I am going to resign myself to having it but not reading it. My teaser is from Demon Song by Cat Adams. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely looking forward to the movie! I love both the movies and the books. Never read The Beetle and The Bard though.. I just felt it was a little bit too much "Hey, how can I profit even more from all those broke fans across the world?" for my taste. It does sound pretty good though. I just wish J.K. Rowling would use her genial writing brain to a new series we can set our teeth in.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser for this week.
I have this one in my TBR pile too!! Great teaser!
ReplyDeleteI have both this version of the book and the Amazon limited edition one (that I try not to get dirty).
ReplyDeleteI'm eager, too. I want to re-read all the books this year!
I've read this book awhile ago but I was thinking or rereading it before the second part of the movie came out. I always reread the books before the movies. It makes me that much more excited for the movie.
ReplyDeleteI have this book sitting on my bookshelf just waiting to be read. I've had it since it came out too. :)
ReplyDeleteI so can't wait for the final HP movie. I'm probably going to cry like a baby too.
Here is my teaser for Angelfire: http://mommyshauncoco.blogspot.com/2011/02/teaser-tuesdays.html
Now this sounds like fun! I don't really like blog hops, but I could get on board with this.
ReplyDeleteI have completely overlooked this book!!! I am so looking forward to the movie release!!! Counting down.....
ReplyDeleteI always meant to read this book...but I always got distracted by rereading the entire series or having a HP movie marathon weekend. Do you think it's worth reading, or is it like Celine posted in a comment above and just a way to get more money and publicity?
ReplyDeleteYou can find my TT here: http://ksbooks.wordpress.com/2011/02/08/teaser-tuesday-30/
I've got to read this, sometime. But an HP marathon movie weekend sounds fun too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of all the books and movies. Ok, I'm a total HP geek. :) I'll be visiting the HP park at Universal Studios while I'm in Florida next month.

I read this one months ago. It was all right for what it was.
