Guess what today it...
Have you guessed yet?
Do you know?
National Dog Day!
Some of you have read through my interviews and by now many of you probably know I have a small white Chihuahua named Winter Hope. Hope for short. I figured what better day to do a post dedicated to my little helper! Here she is, my confidant, my companion and my writer's assistant (or sometimes distraction)
Yes, she is wearing shirts in these particular pictures. I will admit I was against dressing up dogs until I found out more about chihuahuas and why in cold weather climates it can be needed or they get very sick. These are just her fun shirts we let her choose to put on or not in summer. We just happened to be taking pictures on two days she decided to have them on last summer.
She LOVES to run as fast as she can around the garden, tortillas, strawberries, anything fluffy she can find a place to lay down on including people, she will sit next to my desk until I pull out my drawer (I finally keep it empty and just have her stuff in there normally) so that she can hop up and sit next to me when I write, she adores anything pink even if I have no idea how she can tell if it is pink or not and has a remarkable amount of nicknames including Chew (Chew-bark-a) and Bumble Bee because when she growls while playing... it really does sound like bumble bee buzzing.
She is my writers companion and as I write she sits up on my shoulders peeking over to see how I am doing. She has even been known to lick my face if I stop typing for any amount of time to keep me going and motivated!
Happy national dogs day to my wonderful little girl, Hope!
